2009 Affordable Housing Advisory Council Nominations

FHLB Des Moines is now accepting nominations for its Affordable Housing Advisory Council (Advisory Council). The Advisory Council consists of 15 members from a diverse range of community and nonprofit organizations who provide guidance to the board of directors of FHLB Des Moines as it fulfills its mission of increasing homeownership, affordable housing and economic development throughout the Bank’s five-state district.

FHLB Des Moines will appoint five members to serve three-year terms beginning January 2009. Four current Advisory Council members with terms expiring at the end of 2008 have expressed an interest in reappointment; therefore, the Bank is only seeking nominees from Minnesota for one open position. Please note that employees and directors of FHLB Des Moines member financial institutions are not eligible for appointment to the Advisory Council

Nominations for the Advisory Council can be made by completing the nomination form and returning it by September 26, 2008 to Curt Heidt by email (cheidt@fhlbdm.com) or fax (515.699.1270). The form can also be mailed to Community Investment, Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, 801 Walnut St., Suite 200, Des Moines, Iowa 50309.
